![]() It doesn't have the ability (i think?) to toggle between vector and pixel based view modes like Affinity Designer does - i.e AP and AD support virtually all the same file formats, but if you opened a simple SVG graphic in Affinity Photo and zoomed in, it would look pixelated. Unfortunately, even though Affinity Photo supports limited creation and editing of vector formats, it always DISPLAYS them as pixel-based art, even when the underlying source is 100% vector. If the art you are referring to from PS was raster art, even if you painted it in Photoshop at an absurdly high resolution like 2000 DPI +, there would always be noticeable blurriness/pixelation when you zoom in far enough - that's just a fundamental limitation of pixel-based/raster art regardless of the program its made in. Affinity Designer is better for that, but even in AD i think the "Vector brushes" are misnamed, since they are basically just raster textures being applied to the image w an editable vector curve. I may be way off base here but this kinda sounds like you are describing vector-based art in Photoshop? Affinity Photo can make vector art but it isn't necessarily the strength of AP. Again I thought, maybe if I import it into an arbitrary program like Powerpoint and enlarge the image it will remain good quality. Where a high quality image exported from photoshop would stay sharp no matter how far I zoomed in, anything I exported from affinity lost quality immediately upon any kind of zoom in even if the pixel size was much larger than my actual monitor. Is there any way to fix these issues? Sorry if this has been asked many times. Even then it seems the more it's enlarged the more the jagged edges/pixelization of the brush tool is noticeable. ![]() I tried to see if this changed if I exported a drawing but it was exactly the same. I've tried to change the document size to abnormally large sizes and still it remains blurry once I zoom in at all. ![]() I can't seem to find any option which fixes this in Affinity Photo?įurthermore, when I zoom in on a drawing I'm working on it seems to be extremely blurry - not just pixelated. In comparison, when you draw something on 100% hardness in photoshop it has a completely sharp but smooth edge. It seems to me that the paint brush tool in Affinity photo does not have smooth edges and even on export the drawings I create remain relatively jagged. I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times but I can't seem to find any useful forums that answer my questions. I'm relatively new to Affinity and trying to learn the programs to transition a team of people from Photoshop to Affinity.
